Where to train your Puppy Home or Away
Home training and group puppy training both have positives to add to your experience. Private one-on-one training at home is an option for some trainers and some trainers offer both options of these options. There is a vast availability of online training and therefore some owners opt to train their own dogs.
Home training may allow you and your dog to focus more on each other and not get distracted by the other puppies in your class but this is a skill that they will need to learn if not immediately then at a later stage. Group class training helps your dog learn to focus, even when there are distractions from outside sources i.e. other puppies, humans, cars etc.
One of the major benefits of home training is that it is private so you and your trainer can focus on the things you particularly want your puppy to focus on, while at group classes you may spend time on lessons that you don’t personally find important but that the group as a whole think are important to focus on. Unfortunately not all areas have trainers/coaches so you may not have a choice in the matter and will have to train at home. Social media will definitely help in this case. Make sure that you do you research and ask questions before signing up to any online classes.
